Georg K. Glaser Prize

The Georg K. Glaser Prize is a literary prize. It is advertised annually by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Culture and the Rhineland-Palatinate state broadcaster of Südwestrundfunk .

Possible recipients of the award are authors of all styles "who were born in Rhineland-Palatinate or who live there or who are particularly connected to cultural life in Rhineland-Palatinate through their literary work." The main prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, is intended nationally perceived literary achievements are recognized. No self-application is possible for him. There is also a sponsorship award endowed with 3000 euros, which is awarded after a public call for proposals for the best submitted text.

The prize is named after the Rheinhessen writer Georg K. Glaser (1910–1995) who had to emigrate to France during the Nazi era .
