Georg Daniel von Buttlar

Georg Daniel von Buttlar (* 1671 ; † December 15, 1725 ) was a Knight of the Teutonic Order .

Life

He was the son of Johann Friedrich von Buttlar auf Mariengart († 1685), the Fulda bailiff in Geisa and Rockenstuhl , and his wife Anna Kunigunde von Boyneburg (1632–1675). His older brother Johann Christoph von Buttlar acted as general sergeant major (major general) of the imperial army .

Coming from the Hochstift Fulda ( Hesse ), he received the knighthood on May 10, 1699 in Ellingen and belonged to the Franconian Ballei .

From 1703 he was House Commander in Freudenthal and on September 6, 1708 he moved to Nuremberg as House Commander . From 1710 he was Komtur in Horneck and went to Oettingen on April 25, 1718 as Komtur. He also received the title of Komtur zu Donauwörth.

In 1719 he became councilor of the Franconian Ballei and on January 22, 1723 First Privy Councilor of the Prince Abbey of Fulda , where his nephew, Constantin von Buttlar , had been Prince Abbot since 1714. On July 8, 1724, he moved to Kapfenburg as Commander.
