Georg Friedrich von Saß

Georg Friedrich von Saß (born November 22, 1751 in Großenhof on the island of Dagö ; † August 3, 1810 ibid), Lord on Kasty , was an assistant at the Netherlands Court in Arensburg and from 1800 to 1806 Oöselscher district administrator and land marshal .

Origin and family

Georg Friedrich came from the long- established German-Baltic noble family von Saß , whose origins go back to the middle of the 15th century. They were landowners from Töllist , Kasty, Nurms , Kaunifer and Hannijal, as well as tenants from Ilpel (Ösel). His father was the district administrator and country marshal Jürgen Friedrich von Saß (1715–1783), who was married to Julie Sophie von Rehren (1715–1796). Georg Friedrich married Martha Katharina von Paperitz (1747–1787) in his first marriage and Johanna Beata von Güldenstubbe (1762–1836) in his second marriage .
