Georg Härle (born October 31, 1821 in Heilbronn ; † July 26, 1894 there ; also Georg Haerle ) was a German businessman and politician ( VP ). He was a member of the Heilbronn municipal council and a member of the state and Reichstag .

Life

Härle, who was a Protestant denomination, attended grammar school in Heilbronn and was then an apprentice in the paper business of the brothers Moriz and Adolf von Rauch . For the Rauch brothers factory he worked as a traveling salesman in Germany and abroad and most recently as a factor (managing director) for 20 years.

Georg Härle was politically active in the People's Party . For many years he was chairman of the Heilbronner Volksverein and in 1863 a leading member of the local Schleswig-Holstein committee. From 1877 he was a member of the Heilbronn municipal council, previously chairman of the citizens' committee . From 1878 to 1887 (in that year he lost the runoff against Joseph von Ellrichshausen , whom he had defeated in the runoff election in 1884) and again from 1890 (victory against von Ellrichshausen) to 1893 he sat in the Reichstag in Berlin. There he represented the constituency of Württemberg 3 ( Heilbronn , Besigheim , Brackenheim , Neckarsulm ).

In 1876, Härle ran for the Chamber of Deputies of the Württemberg state estates in the Heilbronn Stadt constituency , but lost to the Mayor of Heilbronn, Karl Wüst . In 1882 he took office in the Heilbronn constituency and won the runoff election against Karl Haag . After the mandate holder of the constituency of Heilbronn Stadt, Adolf Feyerabend , the successor of Karl Wüst, had decided not to run again, Härle ran again in 1889 and won the election against Gustav Kittler (SPD). In the Chamber of Deputies, he was a member of the Economic Commission.

Härle was one of the founders of the Heilbronn gymnastics community in 1844 and became its honorary board in 1844 and an honorary member in 1869. He was also a committee member and treasurer of the Heilbronn Historical Society . In the association's report from 1882, he published a treatise on the war events of 1693 in the vicinity of Heilbronn .

In 1880 Härle married Pauline Bruckmann, b. Braun (* 1833), the widow of Ernst Dietrich Bruckmann (1829–1870) and mother of Peter Bruckmann . In 1893, a year before his death, his leg had to be amputated. Härle's tomb is located in the Heilbronn main cemetery .
