Georg Theodor Pschorr

Georg Theodor Pschorr (born June 18, 1865 in Munich , † February 4, 1949 in Tegernsee ) was a German brewery owner and landowner.

Life

After attending the Royal Ludwigsgymnasium in Munich and the Hassel Institute in Frankfurt am Main, Georg Theodor Pschorr studied at the Technical University of Munich and the Weihenstephan Brewery Academy . In 1887 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Munich . After completing his studies, he joined his father's brewery, later Pschorrbräu AG , in Munich. After the death of his father Georg Pschorr jun. (1830-1894) he took over the management of his father's brewery together with his brothers August Pschorr and Joseph Pschorr . During the First World War he was director of the equipment depot and the procurement commission for the 6th Army in Munich until 1917 . When the brewery was converted into a stock corporation in 1922, he became general director of Pschorrbräu AG and in 1930 its deputy chairman of the supervisory board.

From 1902 to 1934 Pschorr was treasurer on the entire board of the Bavarian Industry Association and from 1909 to 1914 a member of the board of directors of the Hansabund . He was chairman of the agreement between the Munich and Augsburg breweries in Munich and chairman of the Künstlerhausverein in Munich.

His youngest brother was the chemist Robert Pschorr .
