George Heinrich von Blanckenburg

George Heinrich von Blanckenburg , also von Blankenburg , (* February 2, 1717 , † January 13 or February 13, 1779 ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1756 until his death he was in charge of the Schivelbein district in Neumark .

He came from the noble von Blanckenburg family from Uckermark . His father of the same name, George Heinrich von Blanckenburg (* 1687, † 1738) was the heir to Petershagen , Schlenzig and other estates. His mother was born von Podewils .

George Heinrich von Blanckenburg studied at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) from 1736 . After the death of his father in 1738 he shared the inheritance with his brothers in such a way that he received the goods Moitzelfitz (a) and Stolzenberg (b) in Western Pomerania . In 1743 he was able to redeem the pledged Steinburg farm that belonged to Moitzelfitz (a) .

After the death of District Administrator Joachim Ehrenreich von Benekendorff in 1756, he was elected as the new District Administrator of the Schivelbein district; the Schivelbein district then belonged to Neumark . He held the office until his death. His successor was Johann George Friedrich von Leckow .

During his tenure as district administrator, he lived on his Schlenzig estate in the Schivelbein district. He was married to Ernestine Leonore, born von Wobeser from the Bellin family.
