George Vincent "Kinna" Kraemer (born June 20, 1925 in Vada ) is a former Swedish ice hockey , bandy and soccer player . He played seven international matches for the Swedish national ice hockey team .

Career

After Kraemer had moved to the Vasastaden district of Stockholm with his family , he played in the youth team for Järva IS from 1938 . In 1942 he switched to the AIK , where he was initially also active in the youth sector. In September 1944 he made his debut in the 0-1 away defeat against Helsingborgs IF in the Allsvenskan , but could not prevail on the offensive due to the competition for Henry Carlsson and was mainly used in the reserve team in the following years. In ice hockey, too, he moved up to the AIK first division team, but was also unable to assert himself permanently. Therefore, he ran two seasons for UoIF Matteuspojkarna from 1946 on, before he ran again for three years for the AIK ice hockey team.

In 1951 Kraemer moved to Hammarby IF , whom he represented in ice hockey, football and in 1954 for a season in the bandy. In the same year he rose to the Allsvenskan with the football team trained by the former player Folke Adamsson . In the season 1954/55 he played 20 first division games and contributed with two goals this season to stay sixth in the table with two points ahead of the best relegation place occupied by the Gothenburg club GAIS . After 14 games in the following season he ran on six more times in the 1956/57 season, but at the end of the season he rose again with the Stockholm club. In the subsequent second division season he came to five stakes, after the direct re-promotion he ran on only in the reserve team.

In 1966 Kraemer took over as the successor to Adamsson, who had looked after the team for 19 years, the coaching position at Hammarby IF and hired his long-time teammate Tore Apelgren as assistant coach . Under his leadership, the team, which has meanwhile returned to second class, in which experienced players such as Sven Lindberg and the former Italian legionnaire and runner-up world champion Lennart Skoglund ran alongside young talents such as Kenneth Ohlsson , Tom Turesson and Ronnie Hellström , rose as leaders with five points on IFK Stockholm and IFK Eskilstuna at the end of the season in the Allsvenskan. Nevertheless, he gave up the coaching position and was inherited by Lars-Gösta Hall .

From the age of 16 Kraemer worked full-time as a fire fighter . In 1951 he moved with his wife, who was married in 1944, near the Söderstadion , until 2013 the home stadium of Hammarby IF.
