Georges C. Stilly

Georges C. Stilly , also Georg Stilianudis born, Yuri Konstantinović Stylianudis (* February 16 jul. / 29. February  1904 greg. In Odessa ; † 19th February 1993 in Baden AG ) was a Greek - Russian cameraman and film producer .

Life

Stilly was the son of Konstantin Stylianoudis, bank director, and Lydia geb. Kondratieva.

After studying electrical engineering and architecture in Saint Petersburg , he directed the Soviet weekly film show. He shot with Leonid Trauberg and Sergei Eisenstein and was mainly engaged in French and Italian films because of his skillful outdoor shots.

Stefan Markus brought him to Switzerland in 1940, where he took part in several films despite the lack of a work permit. After the war, Georges C. Stilly remained loyal to his host country and worked successfully with Kurt Früh in the so-called petty bourgeois films.

He began working as a film producer with Zwei Bayern in Bonn . For the top film, he then produced Bloody Silk , Heisse Spur Kairo-London , The Next Lord , The Same Lady , Undress, Doll , The Partyphotograph , Pudelnackt in Upper Bavaria and Hugo der Weiberschreck .

In 1929 he married Vera Boukina.
