Gerd Maisch

Gerd Maisch (born January 11, 1964 in Stuttgart ) is a German local politician ( Free Voters ). He has been Lord Mayor of Vaihingen an der Enz since September 2006 . Before that he was mayor of the community of Tamm from 1994 to 2006 .

Life

Maisch was born in Stuttgart. After graduating from high school , he graduated from the Ludwigsburg University of Public Administration and Finance in 1989 with a degree in administrative management (FH) . He then worked for the municipality of Rutesheim for five years , initially for two years as a clerk in construction law , then until 1994 as a treasurer .

Maisch is a member of the Free Voters . In 1994 he ran for the first time for the office of mayor of the community of Tamm and received 45.11 percent of the vote in the first ballot. In the subsequent second ballot, Maisch was elected mayor of Tamm with 51.89 percent of the vote. In 2002 he was confirmed in office with 98.66 percent of the votes. In 2006 Maisch applied for the office of Lord Mayor in the large district town of Vaihingen an der Enz. In May 2006, he was elected Lord Mayor in the first ballot with 61.97 percent of the vote. In July 2014, he was the only candidate to be confirmed in office with 94.78 percent of the vote and 19.13 percent turnout. He has also been a member of the Ludwigsburg district council since 1999 and of the Stuttgart regional assembly since 2014 .

In 2019 to mash competed for the succession of the chief administrative officer of the district Ludwigsburg Rainer Haas . He withdrew his candidacy after the second ballot. The district council of the Ludwigsburg district finally elected Dietmar Allgaier as Haas' successor.

Maisch is married and has four children.
