Gerhard Kox

Gerhard Kox (born January 26, 1912 in Aachen , † February 15, 1982 in Dorsten ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Gerhard Kox attended elementary school and trained as a craftsman . In 1929 he became a member of the German Kolping family . He attended evening school and passed the master craftsman examination. After attending a technical school , he became a civil engineer . From 1942 he worked as a site manager on large construction sites abroad, most recently in occupied Norway .

After the Second World War , Kox became an employee of the Berlin magistrate in 1945 and joined the CDU a year later. In 1949 he became head of the district office in Neukölln . In the Berlin election in 1958 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which he belonged until 1971.
