Gerhard Schäfer (publicist)

Gerhard Schäfer (* 1949 in Wolfershausen ) is a German social scientist and journalist .

Life

Schäfer studied political science , sociology , history, education and English at the University of Marburg and was a research assistant there . He was from 1976 to 2012 as a teacher , last teacher at, Bremen operates and acts as an independent, scientific journalist ( Manual German right-wing extremism , the argument , Yearbook of research on the history of the labor movement , Annual Review of Sociology history , Sheets for German and international politics , sociology , among others). Schäfer published in the field of sociological history , in particular on the work and biography of Helmut Schelsky, political sociology and student associations . He lives in Bremen.
