Gerlinde Jänicke
Gerlinde Jänicke (born December 13, 1973 in West Berlin ) is a German presenter and voice actress .
Life and accomplishments
Jänicke was born on December 13, 1973 to an American and a German daughter. She attended the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin-Zehlendorf . At school she was trained and motivated for the theater . She learned the profession of foreign language secretary with a focus on English and French and worked at McDonald’s until she was brought to the radio by radio presenter Rik De Lisle . Today she works for the Berlin radio station 94.3 rs2 and lives with her partner in Berlin.
Radio
Jänicke was hired as a volunteer at the radio station 94.3 rs2 in 1993 and was then offered an offer to moderate as broadcast assistant from Karin Kuschik in Der Gute Morgen for Berlin and Brandenburg . From 1998 she produced and moderated the radio station Berliner Rundfunk 91.4 Gerlinde's after-work show , Gerlinde in the morning and Berlin in the morning . Then she founded the radio production company pride & passion . From 2003 she produced and hosted Gerlinde's Weekend radio show on 89.0 RTL . From 2004, she hosted at 104.6 RTL Radio Shows Super Saturday and Super Sunday . Furthermore, she took over the morning program Arno and the morning crew and other broadcasting channels together with Thomas Koschwitz .
Today she hosts her own morning show Gerlinde Jänicke and Friends on 94.3 rs2 .
In 2017 she received the German Radio Prize for "Best Presenter".

Jänicke began her career with smaller roles in music videos and commercials. In 2006 she hosted the clip show Please laugh! on RTL II after working for the broadcaster as an outside reporter .

Jänicke was a member of the Original Kreuzberg State Theater in Berlin with a focus on improvisational theater . In 2007 she lent professor Rebecca Hausmann her voice in the podcast radio play “Love in the First Semester” and is now also active as a voice actress and advertising spokesperson. In 2012, she was promoting a diet company.
