The German Bowl XXXIII was the 33rd edition of the German Bowl -Endspiels the highest German Football League , the German Football League (GFL). On October 8, 2011, the finalists faced each other in the MDCC Arena in Magdeburg .
The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns qualified on September 24 with a 47:21 home win over the Mönchengladbach Mavericks , and on the 25th the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes with a 45:21 home win over the Düsseldorf Panthers .
The game ended 48:44 for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, who were able to fend off a pass in their end zone in the last second of the game.
