German Bowl XXXII was the 32nd edition of the final in the highest German Football League German Football League (GFL). The German Bowl took place on October 9, 2010, as in the previous year, between the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes and the Berlin Adler in the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt am Main .

The game was broadcast live on German sports television . The Kiel Baltic Hurricanes were able to prevail this time with 17:10 after defeats in the two previous years.

Course of the game

Kiel was able to achieve the first touchdown with the first series of attacks after eight plays with a 6-yard run by Simon Sommerfeld . As in the two games of the regular season between Berlin and Kiel, the defensive ranks dominated again, but Kiel was able to increase to 10-0 in the first quarter with a 43-yard field goal and extend the lead to 17-0 after the half-time break , after touchdown pass from quarterback J. Welsh to wide receiver D. Linson. Berlin then shortened to 17: 3 with a field goal.

At the beginning of the last quarter, T. Wise from Berlin lost the ball when jumping into the Kiel end zone, which jumped out in the end zone. Instead of a touchdown for Berlin, the referees decided on touchback , so Kiel got the ball at its own 20-yard line. The possession of the ball changed several times in the final phase, an interception by F. Horn for Kiel appeared as a preliminary decision, but in the last four minutes Berlin got the ball again, and with a trick play (running back T. Wise threw the ball at quarterback T . Brüning) into the Kiel end zone for the 17:10 connection. The subsequent attempt by the Berliners to win back the ball with an onside kick was not crowned with success. Kiel celebrated the first win of a German championship.
