The German Bowl XLI , the final of the German Football League (GFL) in the 2019 season , took place on October 12, 2019 in Frankfurt's Commerzbank-Arena . The move of the German Bowl from the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin was necessary because extensive renovation work is being carried out here.
The defending champions were the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns , who were also able to participate in the 2019 final. There they were defeated by the record champions from Braunschweig, the New York Lions . They were able to achieve the 12th championship title and celebrate a perfect season .
The way to the German Bowl
With the New Yorker Lions and the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, the undefeated northern champion met the undefeated southern champion of the regular season in the final, thus the German record champions met the reigning champions.
