The SV Germania 1903 Stolp was a German sports club from Stolp , in what is now Poland , in the Pomeranian province .

history

The club colors of the SFV were derived from the colors of the province of Pomerania.

On June 6, 1903 there were 10 men who founded the "Stolper Football Club" (SFV) in Stolp . Among the founders were Benno Müller, dental technician, Karl Treichel, magistrate candidate, Paul Hartmann, Ernst Verse, Julius Marsch, Otto Karsten, Otto Kirchmann, Willy Müller, Paul Schwarz, Werner Bichal. The colors of the young Stolper football club were the Pomeranian: blue and white. Blue and white split shirts and short black trousers were worn to the games. Since other sports such as tennis, swimming and winter sports were included, the general assembly of January 15, 1907 decided to take account of the changed circumstances and to allow Emil Tegge to submit a new proposal. The Stolper football club was buried on that day, but its good old tradition was taken over by the "Sportverein Germania" to a greater extent . Stolp appeared for the first time nationwide in the 1908/09 season , when the final against BuEV Danzig could be reached in the West Prussian district class . In 1913 Stolp became district champion of the Stolp / Köslin district and was thus allowed to take part in the Baltic football finals , in which the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals after a 7-0 defeat against BuEV Danzig . 1914 reached Germania Stolp the decider to the Pomeranian football championship, but the had to Szczecin FC Titania with 0: beaten fourth In 1921 and 1925 , the Pomeranian football finals could also be reached by winning the Stolp district class, but both times the Stolper did not reach the final.

With third place in the district league Stolp / Lauenburg 1932/33 , Germania Stolp qualified for the Gauliga Pommern, newly created in 1933 . In this the Stolper were able to stay until the end of the Gauliga 1944 without relegation and thus belong to the three only clubs, along with SV Viktoria Stolp and the Stettiner SC , that had played all seasons of the Gauliga Pomerania. Germania Stolp mainly achieved secured midfield positions. The greatest success came in the 1939/40 season , when Stolp reached the final of the Gaume Championship as the winner of Group East. After losing the first leg against VfL Stettin 1: 2, Stolp was able to equalize the result in the second leg thanks to a 1: 0 home win, which meant a play-off was necessary. This was lost 2: 5, so that VfL Stettin Gaumeister was.

After the Second World War, Stolp, which was part of the German Empire, was annexed by the Soviet Union and placed under Polish administration . The SV Germania Stolp was - like all other German clubs and institutions - forcibly dissolved. The club Gryf Słupsk , which played in the 1st division , the second highest Polish league, from 1981 to 1983 , has its venue on Germania's former sports grounds .
