Ghazi Abdel-Qadir

Ghazi Abdel-Qadir (* 1948 ) is a German-speaking youth author of Palestinian origin. He lives in Wilnsdorf near Siegen ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

Life

Abdel-Qadir was born near Nazareth in 1948 . At the age of 16 he had to drop out of school in order to support his family. He worked, among other things, as a hotel boy, vendor, letter writer, waiter and later as a restaurant owner in Kuwait . After a few years he went to Jordan to catch up with school to do his Abitur . In 1975 he studied in Bonn and Siegen a . a. German , English , Protestant theology and Islamic studies . After some time he worked as a translator and lecturerand lecturer , he devoted himself entirely to writing in 1988. His books, written in German, have been translated into more than 26 languages. He has been nominated and awarded for prizes. Ghazi Abdel-Qadir has a close relationship with his homeland, Palestine , which can be seen in his books.
