Gheorghe Tănase

Gheorghe Tănase (born January 25, 1928 in Bahna , Neamț district ) is a former Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party PMR (Partidul Muncitoresc Român) and from 1965 PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) , who was among other things secretary of the Central Committee between 1987 and 1989 ( ZK) was the PCR.

Life

Beginning of the official career

After primary school, Gheorghe Tănase attended commercial school for four years and worked as a caster in the Galați naval arsenal from 1941 . At the same time he was a member of a commission for the organization of cooperation in the committee of the district parties and head of the organization service of the Union of Consumer Cooperatives in Covurlui in 1949 , before he became head of the personnel department of the Central Consumer Cooperatives in Bucharest in January 1950 .

After attending a six-month course at the party school, he first became an instructor of the PMR party committee in the Tudor Vladimirescu district in 1950 and then in 1951 organizational secretary of the party committee of the Timpuri Noi plant , before he became an instructor in the Bucharest city party committee in May 1952. After another one-year course at the party school from 1952 to 1953, he was 1953 organizational secretary in the PMR party committee in the Bucharest district of Nicolae Bălcescu. On January 26, 1982 Tănase took over the post as First Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Executive Committee of the People's Council in Ialomița County and held this post in the Wallachia region until February 20, 1987. In 1985 he was again a member of the Grand National Assembly, in which he now until 1989 represented constituency No. 2 Feteşti . On April 1, he also became secretary of the Constitutional and Justice Committee of the Grand National Assembly. In March 1987 he became deputy head of the Central Committee's department for organization. In October 1987 he became secretary of the Central Committee of the PCR and held this position until the PCR Party Congress # Fourteenth Party Congress of the PCR (November 20 to 24, 1989) .
