Ghodaghodi ( Nepali घोडाघोडी ) is a city ( municipality ) in southwestern Nepal in the Kailali district .

The city was created on December 2, 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Darakh and Sadepani . The urban area covers 115.3 km². The city is located 24 km northwest of Tikapur in the Terai east of the Kada Khola River on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway .

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs from which the city of Ghodaghodi emerged had 42,515 inhabitants (20,840 of them male) in 7,431 households.
