Gianfredo Camesi
Gianfredo Camesi (born March 24, 1940 in Cevio , in the Swiss canton of Ticino ) is a Swiss painter and sculptor .
Live and act
Growing up in Menzonio , Gianfredo Camesi completed an apprenticeship as a structural draftsman in Locarno from 1955 to 1958 , before devoting himself to artistic activity. He lived and worked in Geneva from 1960 to 1974 , then for a few years in France in Bages , in Fontenay-aux-Roses and from 1981 in Paris . In 1997 he moved to Vienna and since 2002 he has lived in Cologne .
He produces his works of art using various methods: photography, sculpture, painting, theater, and installations. He is self-taught . Camesi received several Swiss federal scholarships for the fine arts and was appointed "Ambassador" for Swiss art abroad. In the Museo Cantonale d'Arte in Lugano are visible 27 works.
