Gilberto Délio Gonçalves Canavarro dos Reis (born May 27, 1940 in Vreia de Bornes , Portugal ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus bishop of Setúbal .

Life

Gilberto Délio Gonçalves Canavarro dos Reis received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Vila Real on December 21, 1963 .

On October 29, 1988 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Elephantaris in Mauretania and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Porto . The bishop of Vila Real, António Cardoso Cunha , donated him episcopal ordination on February 12, 1989 ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Braga , Joaquim Gonçalves , and the bishop of Porto, Júlio Tavares Rebimbas . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Setúbal on April 23, 1998.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on August 24, 2015.
