After the end of the war, in October 1918 , the young doctor Giogio Volli tried to find a group of children he had looked after before the war . But soon his search turns into a game of hide and seek with death: Giorgio ends up in an old orphanage that is surrounded by frightening moors and packs of wolves . There he meets the mysterious Catherine, an autistic young woman.
