Giray Bulak (born March 9, 1958 in Trabzon ) is a former Turkish footballer and football coach.

Coaching career

Giray Bulak began his coaching career in 1989 at Ipswich Town . He worked there for six months. He then took care of Zonguldakspor , Çaykur Rizespor , Vanspor , Elazığspor , Konyaspor , Trabzonspor , Denizlispor , BB Ankaraspor and Vestel Manisaspor .

In the 1996/97 season he was promoted to the Süper Lig with Kardemir Karabükspor .

On January 13, 2008, Bulak sat in the dugout for Vestel Manisaspor for the last time. In the last ten games he has only scored eight points. From summer 2008 he trained again Konyaspor .

From February 2012 he was the coach of his home club and TFF 1st Lig club Çaykur Rizespor . Here he replaces the resigned Hüseyin Kalpar . With his team he missed the championship of the TFF 1st Lig on the last day of the match and had to go to the playoffs. Already in the first playoff round they were eliminated against Adanaspor . After the end of the season they agreed on a further collaboration. This decision was later thrown out and they separated by mutual agreement.

For the 2012/13 season he took over the position of club manager at Trabzonspor and worked in this position until the end of the year. At the end of December 2012, he accepted the offer for the head coach position at first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu and left Trabzonspor. He replaced Nurullah Sağlam , who had previously resigned . After Bulak was able to get only four points from eight league games at the relegation-threatened club, his contract was terminated after the 24th matchday by mutual agreement.

For the 2017/18 season he took over the second division side Adana Demirspor and for the second half of the same season Balıkesirspor .
