Girișu de Criș ( Hungarian : Körösgyéres ) is a municipality in northwest Romania . It belongs to the Bihor district and is located about 15 kilometers west of Oradea on the Hungarian border. In 2007 it had 5690 inhabitants.

The municipality of Girişu de Criş consists of the districts Girişu de Criş and Tărian ( Köröstarján ).

history

On June 10, 1290, the Hungarian King Ladislaus IV was murdered in the nearby Kereczeg Castle ( Cheresig ).
