Diosig ( Hungarian Bihardiószeg ) is a large municipality in the Bihor district in north-western Romania . There are two places in the municipality of Diosig: the administrative center and Ianca .

history

The first written mention of Diosig comes from the year 1278, at that time still Gyozik . The mention is in connection with the first owner of the Dorog family from Gutkeled .
