Giuseppe Prinzi
Giuseppe Maria Prinzi (born September 11, 1825 in Messina , † July 7, 1895 in Frascati ) was an Italian sculptor from Sicily .
Life
Prinzi was the son of a trader and initially trained in his hometown at the Scuola di Disegno from Letterio Subba , later he became a student of Michele Panebianco in Messina . In the middle of the 19th century he went to Rome and studied at the Accademia di San Luca under Tommaso Aloisio Juvarra and Pietro Tenerani in order to perfect his studies.
He received his first orders from the city of Messina. He created sculptures in Rome , Umbria and Messina.
