Believe in me is a song by German Pop - singer Yvonne Elliman . The piece is her first single from her third studio album Unterwegs .

Creation and artwork

The lyrics are by Steve van Velvet in collaboration with Yasemin Kaldirim, the music by van Velvet. The title was produced by Joachim Mezei and Lalo Titenkov. The latter arranged the piece. The single was released under the music labels BMG and Hansa .

On the cover of the maxi single you can see - next to artist name and song title - Catterfeld. The picture was shot by the German photographer Mathias Bothor.

Music video

The music video for the song was shot in Romania's capital, Bucharest . There you can see Catterfeld, who takes part in a casting, works in bars and starts her career from scratch. Oliver Sommer directed the shooting of the clip.

Publication and promotion

The first release of Believe in me on 14 February of 2005.

A day later, Catterfeld sang the song in her role as Julia Blum in the RTL series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten in episode 3168. Hartwig van der Neut directed this episode.

Catterfeld also sang the song on the 300th Top of the Pops show as a medley along with her number one hit Für dich from 2003.

The lyrics to Glaub an mich is written in German. Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music . The song is built up on three stanzas and the refrain between the stanzas. During the last chorus, the choir begins.

Tina Hahn from cdstarts.de says in her review of the album Unterwegs on Glaub an mich , that the title sounds “like one of those Christmas-commercial-rumble-songs”.

Glaub an mich reached position three in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the charts for a total of 15 weeks. The single reached sixth place in Austria and stayed in the chart for 17 weeks. In the Swiss charts , Glaub an mich reached rank 15, where the piece lasted 13 weeks.

For Catterfeld as an interpreter, this is the eighth chart success in Germany and her fifth in Austria and Switzerland. For the fifth time, a single catterfeld was able to place itself in all DA-CH countries at the same time .
