Aura is the fourth studio album by the German Pop - singer Yvonne Elliman . It was released on October 20, 2006 by Sony Music Entertainment in German-speaking countries.
History of origin
The album was marketed as the new beginning of Yvonne Catterfeld's career. The record company advertised the album by stating that Catterfeld was an “absolutely complete person” for the first time. What was meant was the right to have a say in the songwriting , which she was now able to use for the first time. Catterfeld took an active part in the songwriting process while her record company was looking for more songs. For herself, the album felt like a debut album , as for the first time she could only concentrate on the album and work on it for half a year.
Well -known producers from the hip-hop genre were hired for the album , such as Mousse T. and OJA Tunes . Alex Christensen , Lukas Hilbert , Walter Afanasieff , Lilo Scrimali , Andreas Herbig, Jan van der Toorn and Eric Benét were also involved as producers . With Mein Tag, mein Licht there is a German cover version of the Bill Withers classic Ain't No Sunshine on the album, which was translated into German by Lukas Hilbert . The guest singers are Laith Al-Deen and Götz von Sydow in Sunshine , Max Herre and Joy Denalane in Alles was du Dreaumst dichotest , and Eric Benét in Where Does the Love Go? represented on the album. The latter duet was initiated by Catterfeld's manager, who was friends with Benét's manager and who made contact.
Catterfeld dedicates this album to her parents and her partner at the time, Wayne Carpendale .

reception
According to Eberhard Dobler from Laut.de , the promotion of the album backfired. In fact, everything stayed the same and a few scratches would not be a complete overhaul. Instead, what you would expect on a Catterfeld album can be found on the album: “ Poppy modern R'n'B , sometimes danceable, sometimes designed as a classic ballad. The sound dominate quietly Hip Hop - Beats , soft bass, strings, subtle guitar playing - and where it is necessary, like percussion, wind instruments and. "
