Wayne Howard Carpendale (born March 23, 1977 in Frechen ) is a German actor and presenter of South African descent and the son of pop singer Howard Carpendale .

Life

Wayne Carpendale was a student at Stowe boarding school in Buckingham / England from 1992 to 1995 , from which he graduated with the English university entrance qualification. It was there that he first encountered acting when he appeared in the school musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . After graduating from high school , Carpendale first studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences for Business Management (WHU) in Vallendar . He also made his intermediate diploma at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . However, he broke off his studies after completing his intermediate diploma and turned to acting. In 1999 Carpendale took acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York .

After a three-year relationship with Yvonne Catterfeld from 2004 to 2007, Carpendale has been in a relationship with the presenter Annemarie Carpendale since November 2007 . In December 2011, the two announced their engagement. They got married on September 28, 2013 on the island of Ibiza . Their son was born in May 2018.

Career

Wayne Carpendale became known through the soap Unter Uns , where he played the role of Maximilian Pfitzer from February 2000 to October 2001 . He was also in the hospital series alphateam - Die Lebensretter im OP as well as in various television productions such as Die Kristallprinzessin . In 2003 he played in Old Surehand at the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg .

From November 2005 to May 2007 he played one of the leading roles in the ARD series Sturm der Liebe . Let's dance

In early 2006, Wayne Carpendale took part in the first season of the RTL show Let's Dance . His dance partner was the Swedish professional dancer Isabel Edvardsson . In the final, the couple prevailed against the actress Wolke Hegenbarth and her dance partner Oliver Seefeldt .

Moderation

From October to December 2006, he and Mirjam Weichselbraun presented the eight-part Saturday evening show Dancing on Ice on RTL. Since July 2014 he has hosted the new edition of the show Deal or No Deal and from December 2014 to February 2015 the new edition of Nur die Liebe Counts ; both formats were broadcast on Sat.1 . He also moderated the new edition of Save the Million! under the title Keep Your Money . Since September 11th, 2015 he has hosted the show Superkids - The greatest little talents in the world . In 2016, he and his wife hosted the program Ran an den Mann for two seasons .
