Gliczarów Górny is a village in the Biały Dunajec municipality in the Tatrzański powiat of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland in the Podhale region . The village is located in the Pogórze Bukowińskie mountain range about five kilometers north of Zakopane and fifteen kilometers south of Nowy Targ .

Attractions

Gliczarów Dolny was founded in 1630 under Wallachian law . The place name comes from Wallachian and means place of strong wind . The attribute Górny means upper , i.e. the higher part of a place. There is a modern Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the village.

tourism

It is in Gliczarów Dolny quieter than in the neighboring resorts of Zakopane and Bukowina Tatrzańska . The tourist infrastructure is being expanded.
