The Glinde is an 8.3 km long, southern and orographically right tributary of the Diemel in the city of Marsberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis ( Germany ).
The Glinde, which mainly flows through agricultural area, drains the western part of the Red Land in the north of the Waldecker Gefilde . Its source and the stream up to the core town of Marsberg are, with the exception of creek sections at the Siegesmühle and the Marsberg residential areas Hasental and Glindegrund upstream of the core town, in the Glindetal nature reserve .

The Glinde rises in the Sauerland on the Waldecker fields. Its source is about 1.3 km west of Leitmar , about 1.2 km north of Borntosten and about 1.6 km (both as the crow flies ) east-southeast of Giershagen at 359.5 m above sea level. NHN .
The Glindemann flows - none of the source nearby villages by flowing - in most northerly direction along the national road 549 and passes Glindemann base and Obermarsberg to finally in the core center of Marsberg after passing under the route of the upper RuhrtalBahn in the zoom flowing there from the south-southwest Weser influx Diemel lead to . Its mouth is at a height of 247.5 m , so that there is a total of around 112 m height difference.
Catchment area and tributaries
The catchment area of the Glinde is 35.337 km². Its longest tributary is the right-hand Frohntalbach , which is 3.8 km long and flows below Glindegrund at a height of about 271 m . Otherwise there are only a few small rivulets .
