origin

The first settlement probably existed on the site of today's Gliśno Wielkie in the 13th century. At that time the area belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania, before the Margraves of Brandenburg ruled there for a few years around 1310 .

One of the oldest records of the place Glisno comes from a Tangible from the year 1374: The Noble Nickil of Glissen ( Nickil de Glyszyn, nobilis ) received on 7 November 1374, the area around Glisno of Winrich von Kniprode , the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order to Management and Defense. Witnesses of the securitization and sealing of the property right (according to Kulm law ) were: Sweder von Pellant (Supreme Tressler of the Teutonic Order), Heinrich von Grobitz ( Commander of Schlochau ), Chaplain Niklas and Baldewin von Frankenhofen ( nurse of Tuchel ).

After the death of the last Pomeranian Duke Bogislaw XIV in 1637, the area around Gliśno fell back to the Kingdom of Poland. After the partitions of Poland which took place royal Prussian ennoblement of the family.
