The Gmina Baranów Sandomierski [ baˈranuf sandɔˈmʲɛrsci ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Tarnobrzeski of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 1500 inhabitants.

The municipality is located around 120 kilometers northeast of Krakow . It borders in the northeast on the district town of Tarnobrzeg and in the north on the Vistula .
Your area has an area of 121.86 km², 60 percent of which is used for agriculture and 21 percent for forestry.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship .

The town-and-country community (gmina miejsko-wiejska) Baranów Sandomierski includes the town and other villages with 13 school offices :
Dąbrowica, Durdy, Dymitrów Duży, Dymitrów Mały, Kaczaki, Knapy, Marki, Siedleszczany, Skopanie Wieś and Skopanie Osiedle in the village of Skopanie, Suchorzów, Ślęzaki and Wola Baranowska.

Baranów Sandomierski station is on the Łódź – Dębica railway line , and passenger traffic was discontinued in 2009.
