The Gmina Czyże ( Belarusian гміна Чыжы, hmina Czyžy ) is a rural municipality in the powiat Hajnowski of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( Lithuanian Čižai ) with about 600 inhabitants.
The municipality has been an officially bilingual municipality since 2010 and is mainly inhabited by Poles of Belarusian nationality. The eponymous place is located 20 km east of Bielsk Podlaski and 12 km west of Hajnówka .
