The Gmina Książki is a rural community in the powiat Wąbrzeski in the Polish Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship . Its seat is in the village of the same name ( German Ksionsken , 1878–1920: Hohenkirch ).
geography
The municipality is located in the historical Kulmer Land (former West Prussia , about 50 kilometers northeast of Toruń (Thorn) ). 88% of the community area is used for agriculture, 1% is forest.
Administrative history
The area of the municipality belonged to Poland as early as 1920-1939.
From 1975 to 1998 the rural community was part of the Toruń Voivodeship .

economy
The community has an entirely agricultural character. The cultivation of sugar beets, potatoes and various types of wheat predominates. In animal husbandry, pigs and cattle predominate.
Attractions
- Memorial to fifty Polish residents murdered on September 8, 1939 on the Książki – Brudzawki road.
- Soviet military cemetery opposite the Książki Church, where soldiers who fell in fighting with Germans in January 1945 were buried.
