The Gmina Lubraniec is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Włocławski of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city ​​of the same name with about 3100 inhabitants.

The municipality is located in the south of the Powiat and borders at Gołębin on the rural municipality of Włocławek . The city of Włocławek is about 15 kilometers northeast.

history

As part of the second partition of Poland in 1793, the municipality came to Prussia . In 1919 it became part of the reborn Poland . During the occupation (1939-1945) of the Second World War , the places in the Leslau district ( Reichsgau Wartheland ) were given German names, the city was renamed Lubranitz in 1939 and Lutbrandau in 1943 . Before the end of the war, the area came back to Poland.

The urban and rural municipality has existed since 1973 and from 1919 to 1954 as a rural municipality with its seat in Piaski (Gmina Piaski) . From 1954 to 1972 there were a few gromadas in what is now the municipality next to the city . From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Włocławek Voivodeship .
