The Gmina Margonin is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Chodzieski of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 3000 inhabitants.
geography
Margonin borders the city of Szamocin (Samotschin) to the north , the district town of Chodzież (Colmar) is about five kilometers to the west, and the provincial capital of Poznan is about 60 kilometers to the south. The waters include several lakes and smaller rivers.
history
The municipality was founded in 1973 and was part of the newly formed Piła Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 . This was dissolved again in 1998.
