Gobrechtsham is a village in the Innviertel in Upper Austria . It is also a locality and cadastral municipality of the municipality of Neuhofen im Innkreis in the district of Ried im Innkreis . About 220 inhabitants live in the village.
geography
Gobrechtsham is located about 3 km southwest of Ried im Innkreis at an altitude of 464 m in the Innviertel . Jagawirt also belongs to the village. The cadastral community, one of the two from Neuhofen, covers the entire area southwest of Ried, with Langstrasse on the city limits, the village of Gobrechtsham , as well as Rödt, Ponneredt, Hauping , Bergetsedt and Hörzing .
history
Around 550 AD, the area was first settled by the Bavarians and then by the Franks . The first references to the current name date back to 1140. In the handover book of the Reichersberg Abbey there is a note about “Tage de Gotprethesheim” at this time. Since the founding of the Duchy of Bavaria , the place was Bavarian until 1780 and came to Austria after the Treaty of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) . During the Napoleonic Wars briefly French - Bavarian again , since 1814 it has finally belonged to Austria ob der Enns .
