Goran Stojanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Горан Стојановић ; born February 24, 1977 in Bar , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Qatari handball goalkeeper of Montenegrin origin.

Goran Stojanović is 1.92 m long. He is married and has one daughter.

From summer 2006 Stojanović played at VfL Gummersbach . After the 2010/11 season, he used a clause in his contract and moved to the Rhein-Neckar Löwen prematurely . He signed a three-year contract there until June 30, 2014. Then he went to the Qatari club al-Jaish SC .

For the national team of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and their successors Serbia and Montenegro and Montenegro , Stojanović played a total of 53 international matches . He played his last international match for Montenegro in January 2010. He has had Qatari citizenship since 2013 to support the host of the 2015 World Cup . With Qatar, he took part in the Asian Cup and the Asian Games in 2014 , where he and his team won gold medals. In 2016 he won the Asian Cup again . He also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

He was runner-up in 2015 with Qatar.
