Geography and transport links
Grünhagen is located northwest of the core town of Bienenbüttel on the B 4 . The Ilmenau flows not far north and east. East, the 230 extends ha large nature reserve (NSG) Four Bach and south and southwest of the about 250 hectare nature reserve Schier break and Forellenbachtal .
