Grant Geissman

Grant Geissman (born April 13, 1953 in Berkeley ) is an American jazz and fusion musician ( guitar , composition ).

Live and act

Geissman was tutored by Jerry Hahn during high school and then studied at California State University, Fullerton and California State University, Northridge . During this time he played with Gerald Wilson and Louie Bellson , with whom he also recorded. In his career he has worked with Van Dyke Parks , Brian Wilson (Orange Crate Art, 1995), Robbie Williams (Escapology, 2003), Quincy Jones (Q's Jook Joint, 1995), Paula Abdul , Ringo Starr (Ringo Rama), David Benoit , Chuck Mangione (in whose band he played until 1981), Plácido Domingo , Luis Miguel, Burt Bacharach , Julio Iglesias and Elvis Costello together.

He has released a total of 14 solo albums by 2009, but was also involved in music that z. B. to the films / series Dawson's Creek , Two and a Half Men , Tomb Raider II and Anaconda ran. This also earned him Emmy nominations.
