Grass ski junior world championship 2002

The 2002 Grasski Junior World Championship took place from July 25th to 28th in Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic . The championship began with the opening ceremony on Thursday, July 25th. The slalom, giant slalom and super-G competitions took place from Friday to Sunday. The slalom and the super-G also counted for the combination. All races were held on the ski slope at Harusův Kopec , around 2 km northwest of the city center (coordinates of the slope: 49 ° 34 ′ 17 ″  N , 16 ° 2 ′ 57 ″  E, coordinates: 49 ° 34 ′ 17 ″  N , 16 ° 2 ′ 57 ″  O )

63 athletes (46 men and 17 women) from 9 nations took part in the Junior World Championship (the number of men and women in brackets):

The most successful participants came from the host country, the Czech Republic: Martin Štěpánek won three gold and one silver medal in the men's competition, and Zuzana Gardavská won all four competitions in the women's event .
