Grayslake is a municipality (with the status of "Village" ) in Lake County in the northeast of the US -amerikanischen State of Illinois and a suburb of Chicago with more than 20,000 inhabitants.
The settler William F. Gray settled here in 1840, a train station was built in 1886, and the city was founded in 1895.
The rock band Chevelle comes from Grayslake. The first of the Christian rock music Cornerstone Festivals took place here from 1984 to 1990 .
