The Grigorowitsch M-2 ( Russian Григорович М-2 ) is a single-engine flying boat of Russian origin.

development

The M-2 essentially corresponds to the Grigorowitsch M-1 built in 1913, but has larger dimensions. The machine first flew in 1914.

The two-seater aircraft was made in composite construction. The pilots were seated next to each other.

It was first powered by an 80 HP Clerget , which was later often replaced by a Gnôme Monosoupape engine with 100 HP. The engine drove a wooden pusher propeller. Support floats were located at the end of the lower wing for stabilization on the water. Compared to the M-1, the wing was placed about 100 millimeters above the airframe and the tail was changed.

The Grigorowitsch M-2 was the first flying boat that was completely manufactured in small series in Russia.
