The Grigorowitsch M-1 ( Russian Григорович М-1 ) is a single-engine flying boat of Russian origin.

development

The M-1 essentially corresponds to the French Donnet-Lévêcque from the year of construction 1912. The two-seater aircraft was manufactured in a composite construction. The pilots were seated next to each other. It was propelled by a Gnome engine and a wooden thrust propeller. Support floats were located at the end of the lower wings for stabilization on the water. For landing and launched; the machine had lashing points for a trolley .

Compared to the original pattern, Dmitri Grigorowitsch shortened the bow by about one meter, changed the wing profile (Farman F.16) and reduced the boat step from 200 mm to 80 mm. The machine flew for the first time in autumn 1913 and, thanks to improved handling, met expectations.
