The Grigorowitsch DG-55 ( Russian Григорович ДГ-55 , also Grigorowitsch E-2 , Є-2) was a two-seat, twin-engine low - wing sports aircraft of Soviet origin.

construction

The machine was similar in design and construction to the De Havilland DH.88 Comet . The machine was built of wood and had a manual retractable undercarriage and landing flaps . As with the DH.88, the engines were located on the wing leading edges in fairings that also accommodated the main landing gear.

The construction only served to check some basic designs for a light sport aircraft suitable for long distances. After completion and the first flight in 1935, the machine was handed over to the OSSOAWIACHIM , which used it for courier flights.
