Groß Heide is a district of the town of Dannenberg (Elbe) in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
The village is four kilometers south of the center of Dannenberg.
history
For the year 1848 it is stated that Groß Heide had 36 residential buildings in which 189 residents lived. At the time the place was parish in the parish of St. Annen in Dannenberg and the school was in Groß Heide. On December 1, 1910, Groß Heide had 162 inhabitants as an independent municipality in the Dannenberg district . On July 1, 1972, the place was incorporated into Dannenberg.
