Tripkau is a district of the town of Dannenberg (Elbe) in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

The village is located three kilometers northwest of the core area of ​​Dannenberg on the B 216 . The Streetzer Mühlenbach , a left tributary of the Jeetzel, flows on the northern edge of the village . One kilometer south is the 37 ha large nature reserve Maujahn Moor .

history

The fire on May 12, 1889 destroyed nine buildings. The damaging fire was probably caused by children.

On July 1, 1972 Tripkau was incorporated into the city of Dannenberg (Elbe).
