Promotion opportunities

The normal route to the Großer Friedrichskopf starts at the Wangenitzseehütte . From here you follow the path down to the Schaflerhütte and then climb north over steep mountain mats to the Obere Prititschscharte. This is followed by the descent into Prititschkar. The further path leads eastwards past several small lakes to the northernmost and largest lake and then along the Prititschbach. Before turning south, the ascent leads through the northwestern cirque in the direction of Friedrichsscharte, before which one crosses east to Relischscharte. The following final ascent over the south-south-east ridge first over a flat ridge and then through gorge-like gullies reaches the summit ( II + ).

Other variants exist on the southwest ridge from the Friedrich notch ( III ), the south face of the Relischscharte ( IV + ), the rare committed by the base of the wall northwest ridge ( III ) or by the southern separation gorge between Great and Small Friedrichskopf from the Trümmerkar east of Relischscharte ( III ).
