Groß-Höhaben is a locality and, as Großhöhnen, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Waldenstein in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 44 building areas with 19,600 m² and 11 gardens on 5,038 m² in the cadastral community Großhöhnen and in 1989/1990 there were also 44 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 151 and in 2009/2010 there were 99 buildings on 190 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 243 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 85 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 225 hectares and 99 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 206 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 103 hectares. The average soil climate of Großhöhnen is 23.7 (as of 2010).
